An absolute love letter to F1 racing fans, giving you a chance to enjoy racing them from different eras, but its performance and attempt to be somewhere between arcade and sim have issues
Taking a big step forward from its predecessor in terms of polish, Dark Deity 2 boasts plenty of lively characters and dialogue mixed with satisfying tactical play
While perhaps it may not have the polish of Wargroove or the Advance Wars titles, Super World War’s sense of humor gives it legs if you’re down to be entertained while making your tactical plans
Rather than using more adult humor to compliment solid gameplay, it seems determined to try to distract from an otherwise annoying or at least forgettable time
Overly dark, generally quite repetitive, and simply strange with how it has you work through a maze of areas to find power-ups and battles, this is an odd experience
With an extremely limited scope of play, and honestly nothing even remotely interesting to offer, unless you simply love roulette for some reason this is a hard pass
While from event to event the controls and experience can be hit or miss, on the whole this is a playable multi-event sports title to enjoy with friends
If you’re into more classic text-based play, this is an outlier that delivers just that and more, but be warned that the interface and some hiccups can be annoying at times
While it has a good sense of humor and weird elements I appreciate, the beat-em-up play simply isn’t up to the bar that has been set by most of its competitors
