A very pleasant and generally chill mix of using various tools to clean areas with some pretty light puzzle elements to boot
Over my time reviewing games for this site, one of the flavors that I’ve struggled the most with has historically been work simulators. It isn’t that I don’t understand some aspect of their appeal, it’s mostly just that the majority of them that I’ve played have been pretty terrible both in terms of implementation and general enjoyability. That’s where I think this segment may be ripe for a game that doesn’t go for a real-world approach as much as a top-down or classic isometric gaming perspective, throwing in some sprinkles of puzzle-solving as well to put together a much more engaging experience that’s still plenty chill overall. As the name implies, this is a game all about cleaning up messes, and for the most part it stays focused on just that. Unlike the more realistic takes on this sort of activity like you’d see in PowerWash Simulator and some others, this has a more traditional isometric perspective and a pretty lighthearted nature. About the greatest complications you’ll face will be working out some typically-optional environmental puzzles, and trying your best to not do anything to rack up any penalties by breaking things or other complications you can run into the further you go.The good news is that, in general, the controls make this all pretty light and easy to do successfully, even when trying to very carefully sweep around more sensitive items. As you go you won’t only get some new gear, you’ll also have the opportunity to upgrade what you have, using the money you’ve collected. In most cases this will make your work quicker and easier to complete, but keep in mind you could be adding some risk when dealing with more fragile items, so be careful as you upgrade your vacuum in particular. For the most part this is a title that delivers precisely what it promises, and while there can be some odd issues with debris that doesn’t want to get picked up, or other relatively minor problems, it’s an easy title to relax with and enjoy.
